The use of low viscosity hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose in special industries:
1, Paint industry:
This product has excellent storage stability, maintain uniformity of viscosity, so that pigment dispersed evenly, while basically not affected by ph value (applicable range ph=3--11).
2, synthetic resin:
In the production of synthetic resins, for example in polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyvinylidene chloride and other polymers, suspension polymerization is the most commonly used and must be stable hydrophobic monomer suspension in the water. The most representative hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC), as a water-soluble polymer, has excellent surface activity and acts as a colloid protector, which can effectively prevent the aggregation of polymeric particles. Further, HPMC, although a water-soluble polymer, is slightly soluble in hydrophobic monomers and increases the monomer porosity of the production of polymeric particles, thus providing a good polymer for removing residual monomers and enhancing the ability to absorb plasticizers.
(1) Hydroxypropyl methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is used as a binder for molding fine ceramic products. The higher concentration aqueous solution of HPMC can be adsorbed on the surface of ceramic particles, so that the friction between the particles decreases and enhances the lubrication, so that the molded products have the required surface finish and dimensional stability.
(2) Because of the low ash of HPMC, the sintered ceramic products with excellent electrical properties are available.
(3) Adding the product to the new honeycomb ceramics can give the billet crystal lubrication, water retention and increase strength, reduce the friction coefficient and improve the lubrication of the extruded ceramic products.
4, Special mortar:
