HUAMAO® 517E DISPERSIBLE POLYMER POWDER is a copolymer powder of vinyl acetate and ethylene and is dispersible in water. Compounds modified with HUAMAO® 517E DISPERSIBLE POLYMER POWDER exhibit improved adhesion, flexural strength, deformability, abrasion resistance and are easier to process. Leveling, thixotropy and water retention are essentially unaffected. The product is ideal for use in combination with other mortar additives intended to enhance specific properties.
HUAMAO® 517E DISPERSIBLE POLYMER POWDER contains a fine mineral filler as an anti-blocking agent. It is produced without the addition of organic solvents, plasticizers, and film -forming agents.

Processing
For the production of ready-mixed dry mortars, such as adhesives and patching compounds, blend HUAMAO® 517E DISPERSIBLE POLYMER POWDER with the other dry ingredients inappropriate equipment. Temperatures should not be allowed to rise excessively during mixing because otherwise, the dispersible polymer powder could agglomerate by virtue of its thermoplastic properties. The mortar is prepared for use by adding the recommended amount of water and mixing mechanically or by hand. Since hand mixing generates little shear force, we recommend allowing the fresh mortar to slake for 5 minutes and then stir it again. This is usually unnecessary where mechanical mixers are employed.

Effect of the added amount of wall filler powder on the strength of insulating mortar
The high flexibility and high elasticity polymer reticular film formed by polymer powder significantly improved the performance of the insulating mortar, especially the tensile strength. When the external force is applied, the micro-cracks can be counteracted or slowed down because of the increase of the mortar cohesion and the flexibility of the polymer. The tensile strength of the insulating mortar increases with the increase of the content of latex powder, and the flexural strength and compressive strength decrease with the increase of the content of latex powder, but it can still meet the requirement of wall exterior surface. And the pressure folding is relatively small, reflecting the good flexibility of the insulation mortar performance.
The main reasons for increasing the tensile strength of wall putty powder are: During the solidification and hardening of mortar, the polymer will be formed in the transition zone between EPS granule and cement slurry, the interface between the two is more compact and firmer, and some polymers are dispersed into the cement slurry and condensed into membranes on the surface of the cementitious gel, forming a polymer network, This kind of low elastic modulus polymer network can improve the toughness of hardened cement; some polar groups in polymer molecules may also react with the hydration products of cement to form special bridge bond to improve the physical structure of cement hydration products and to relieve internal stress. Thus, the production of micro-cracks in cement paste is reduced.
The dispersible polymer powder is an indispensable part in the high-performance EPS granular insulation slurry, its mechanism is mainly in the system of polymer particles formed into a continuous film, the cement hydration products bonded together to form a complete network structure and the EPS particles firmly combined. The composite system of dispersible polymer powder and other binders has good flexibility and elasticity, which greatly improves the bond tensile strength and construction performance of EPS granule insulation mortar.
